There is a loyal and hard working team behind the scenes at The Oak Tree Inn to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that you have a very special visit.
One of the key members of the team is Robert Muir who was barely a teenager when he first worked in a kitchen, starting with a Saturday job washing dishes. His interest though lay with the food enjoying watching meals being prepared, asking the chefs endless questions.
Working for various local establishments Robert put in the hours and the effort over a number of years to learn his trade. His hard work rewarded with a series of promotions and extra responsibilities that allowed him to create his own menus.
In 2013, at the age of 26, Robert joined The Oak Tree Inn as its Head Chef. Robert has been a good friend of the Fraser family for many years and and likes the way that they are always moving forward, reinventing what they do and growing the quality of the business.
Robert especially loves cooking fish and likes that the Oak Tree menu has just good honest fare.
Away from his work Robert enjoys football, running and keeping fit. He also loves his motorbike, spending time with his girlfriend and socialising.
