The Fraser Family, owners of The Oak Tree Inn, have worked hard to create all of the services that you need to get the most out of your trip to this beautiful part of Loch Lomond.
With a range of accommodation both above the Inn and in a series of cottages a few minute walk from the main building there are many options, consisting of singles, twins, doubles, family rooms and a bunkhouse.
The Oak Tree Inn’s bar and restaurant serves food from midday to 9pm. Dining is offered in either our cosy fire side bar, restaurant or conservatory.
Next to the Oak Tree Inn and also owned by the family is The Balmaha Village Shop selling groceries, newspapers and magazines, maps, toys, gifts and many other items.
St Mocha Coffee Shop & Ice Cream Parlour serves speciality coffee that is roasted on site, along with teas, home baking and homemade ice cream.
You will find lots of local information at The Oak Tree Inn’s reception, along with knowledgable staff who can help you plan your day.
Across the road from the Oak Tree Inn there is a large free car park that also has a National Park Visitor Centre with information and guides to the area.
For children there is a big play area adjacent to the Park Centre.
Next to the Oak Tree the Balmaha Boatyard offers trips to nearby Inchcailloch Island and on its regular post boat trip around the island. Cruise Loch Lomond offer daily cruises between March and October from our new pontoon. They also have waters trips to Luss, along with Sweeney’s Cruises that also offer a water bus service connecting Luss with Balmaha. Tickets for all available from the Village Shop.
There is easy access to many excellent walks including The West Highland Way, Millennium Forrest and Conic Hill, plus Ben Lomond is just a short drive away.
